The choice of dates allows participants to choose a convenient day for participation as everyone's work / home schedule varies. This means you have a choice of dates to choose from. Please be aware the same topic is delivered (repeated) on different days.
At the end of each session participants receive a garden product sample or plant as a thankyou.
Bushfood - introduction to Australian Indigenous flavours (2 hours) These sessions we discover our unique bushfood grown here in Australia that has been consumed by our Indigenous people for thousands of years. We'll discuss growing indigenous plants suitable for our climate and gardens. There will be samples of different herbs, other bushfoods and how easy it is to blend with traditional European flavours.
Sessions 11am to 1pm (2 hours) Dates: Saturday 25th November 2017 and Friday 24th November 2017 COST: $55 / session
Compost - creating and maintaining (4 hour session) We'll be learning about creating, maintaining a compost and the many types available. Soil is the core of all gardening and both topics are addressed. We address importance of site preparation - nourished soil for edible plants. Sessions 11am to 3pm (4 hours) Dates: upon request COST: $80 / session
Raised Garden Beds - constructing / maintaining (3 hour session) Learning which raised garden beds are suitable for your garden. We'll discuss various styles on the market as kit forms and how to construct one from scratch. We have an onsite built raised bed and kit form. Consider wicking and no dig beds. Discuss growing medium required to fill beds when planting edibles or ornamental plants. Right choice of plants for your raised beds.

Participation Request - Complete the below Participation Form and in the Comment Field note the session/s, full name, contact phone number and preferred email address for confirmation. Kindly indicate if you give permission to add your details to our contact list for future events. You may follow us on facebook https://www.facebook.com/gardensaquilani/ Details WILL NOT be passed on to other parties and are held in confidence. Upon receipt of Participation Form, you will receive an invoice disclosing payment method, either in cash on the day or by EFT, our address, what to bring, session outline and relevant information.
We do ask for consideration as not all areas of home are available to participants. Taking photos of private areas is not permitted. Photographs permitted in some situations.
Group maximum of 5 people and minimum of 1 person. No children. Sessions held outside, if bad weather is forecast we will contact participants offering refund or rescheduling.
Cancellation - Any cancellation greater than 48 hours from session commencement WILL BE refunded or rescheduled if preferred. Any cancellation lesser than 48 hours from session commencement WILL NOT be refunded.
Behaviour - We ask all participants are kind and respectful to each other including facilitator, anything less will not be tolerated. We are creating a safe learning environment for all to enjoy. A space of sharing thoughts and open discussions.
Food - BYO snacks and lunch. Tea (including herbals), coffee, milk, sugar and water will be available throughout sessions.
Learning Materials / Safety / Dress -Bring pen an paper to take notes. Wear appropriate footwear, closed shoes, gloves and dust mask if you have allergies. Working with compost and soils can be a health hazard to sensitive people. NOTE: Gardens Aquilani is not responsible for unsuccessful gardening results in participants gardens. There are too many factors involved and we strongly suggest researching a particular process for good success.
